Privacy Policy

PauseMe is a personal digital wellbeing app that helps you pause before opening distracting apps. This policy explains what data the app uses, what stays on your device, and what is processed for subscriptions.

Information stored on your device

PauseMe stores your selected apps, pause settings, quiz progress, challenge history, bypass counts, and usage summaries locally on your device. This information is used to run the app's core pause and progress features.

Android Accessibility and Usage Access

On Android, PauseMe asks for Accessibility permission so it can detect when you open apps you selected for pausing and show a PauseMe question. PauseMe uses only the foreground app package name for this feature.

PauseMe does not use Accessibility permission to read messages, passwords, notifications, photos, typed content, or screen text. Accessibility data is not sold, shared for advertising, or sent to PauseMe servers.

If you grant Usage Access, PauseMe can read usage totals for your selected apps so it can estimate screen-time changes. This usage data is kept locally on your device.

Subscriptions

PauseMe subscriptions are sold through Google Play and managed with RevenueCat. Google Play and RevenueCat process purchase history, subscription status, product identifiers, receipts, and an anonymous RevenueCat app user identifier so the app can unlock paid access and restore purchases.

Sharing

PauseMe does not sell your personal information and does not use your data for third-party advertising. Subscription processing data is shared with Google Play and RevenueCat only as needed to process, validate, and manage purchases.

Security

Subscription data sent to Google Play or RevenueCat is transmitted over encrypted connections. Local app data remains on your device unless the operating system or your device settings back it up.
