Privacy Policy
PawsMe is a personal digital wellbeing app that helps you pause before opening distracting apps. This policy explains what data the app uses, what stays on your device, and what is processed for subscriptions.
Information stored on your device
PawsMe stores your selected apps, pause settings, quiz progress, challenge history, bypass counts, and usage summaries locally on your device. This information is used to run the app's core pause and progress features.
Android Accessibility and Usage Access
On Android, PawsMe asks for Accessibility permission so it can detect when you open apps you selected for pausing and show a PawsMe question. PawsMe uses only the foreground app package name for this feature.
PawsMe does not use Accessibility permission to read messages, passwords, notifications, photos, typed content, or screen text. Accessibility data is not sold, shared for advertising, or sent to PawsMe servers.
If you grant Usage Access, PawsMe can read usage totals for your selected apps so it can estimate screen-time changes. This usage data is kept locally on your device.
iOS Screen Time
On iPhone, PawsMe uses Apple's Family Controls, Managed Settings, and Device Activity frameworks so you can select apps or categories, apply Screen Time shields, temporarily unlock a selected target, and view Screen Time summaries.
Apple represents selected apps and categories with privacy-preserving tokens. PawsMe stores those tokens and Screen Time summaries locally in its shared app container so the app and its Screen Time extensions can provide the features you request. PawsMe does not send your selected apps, challenge history, or Screen Time summaries to PawsMe servers.
Subscriptions
PawsMe subscriptions are sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play and managed with RevenueCat. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat process purchase history, subscription status, product identifiers, receipts, and an anonymous RevenueCat app user identifier so the app can unlock paid access and restore purchases.
The app can show this anonymous RevenueCat identifier as a "Support ID" so you can share it with us to look up your subscription when you contact support. The Support ID contains no name, email address, or other personal information.
Support requests
If you use the PawsMe support form, we collect the name, email address, topic, device or app version details you choose to provide, and message content you submit. This information is used only to respond to your request and keep a record of support correspondence.
Sharing
PawsMe does not sell your personal information and does not use your data for third-party advertising. Subscription processing data is shared with Apple, Google, and RevenueCat only as needed to process, validate, and manage purchases. Support request data is shared only with providers needed to deliver and respond to support requests.
Security
Subscription data sent to Apple, Google, or RevenueCat is transmitted over encrypted connections. Support requests sent through the website are transmitted over encrypted connections. Local app data remains on your device unless the operating system or your device settings back it up.
